Written by Anomaly Flights
The whole world has been in affected by COVID-19 or Coronavirus, as we all refer to it. Here in the USA Costco is sold out of toilet paper, Amazon is sold out of hand sanitizer, events are being cancelled, schools have been shutting down and the affects worldwide have been even more drastic.
First of all, it’s easy to see that the Coronavirus has had a huge affect on the travel industry. International and domestic flights are far from selling out, popular tourist destinations around the globe are eerily empty, and hotels are running on very low bookings. The line between sensible precautions and outright panic is starting to get pretty blurry. With this massive drop in the travel industry many major airlines and hotels are offering jaw dropping deals and incredible concessions that many brave and savvy travelers are taking advantage of.
Many major airlines are offering some amazing concessions and ticket change policies in the wake of the coronavirus pandemic. For instance, Alaska is offering money/miles back if you have to cancel your fligts for fares booked after Feb 27. Delta, American, and united, along with many other major have waived flight change and cancellation fees. Most of them will let you change your travel dates and even your destination (there could be a price difference) up to 14 days before your trip! Check out theadjustments to cancellation policies and change fees that are being offered by the airlines below.
